Pacific Northwest Hiking with Dogs

Day Hiking in Oregon with your Dog

12 hr
250 US dollars
Location 1

Service Description

Experience the scenic wonders of Oregon while day hiking with your favorite companions including your dog. Only friendly dogs please! This is an adventure based on the ability of your dog. Some dogs are great natural born hikers, while others need to be trained in hiking in the wilderness. This may be a learning experience for yourself and your dog. Please pick up after your dog to provide a clean environment for others. Please bring a leash to train your dog however some trails do not require leashes, some portions of trails and at trailheads are best to have the safety a leash can provide. Great photo opportunities are available to dog owners while exploring the Pacific Northwest. Please bring food and water for your dog. Some trails have adequate water but it is always good to have some water on hand for your dog just in case. This is a day hike, however backpacking may also be an option for an additional cost. Day hiking can range from a 4 hour hike to a 12 hour hike depending on the skill level of your dog and the season. Typically, we offer 8 hour to 12 hour hikes with dogs. Transportation to the trailhead is typically not included with dogs. Price includes a guided hike with one person and one dog. Groups are limited to 6 people for hiking with dogs. If a private hike with your dog is desired, this can be booked for an additional fee.

We were born and raised in Oregon. We have been exploring the Pacific Northwest our entire lives. There are so many exciting locations we have discovered over the years. As guides we will share with you our knowledge, take you to scenic places, and treat you like one of the family.

We are dog friendly! Our dogs are part of our family. They often join us on our adventures, therefore we extend the invitation to your dogs as well. Most of our adventures allow dogs, however certain locations do not allow dogs, so there are some exceptions.

With the benefit of having a Horticulture Degree, I can teach you about our native plants of our area, including historical uses, edibles, and rare wildflowers. As a photographer, I will capture those special moments while on our adventures you to cherish always. As a member of Sons & Daughters of Oregon Pioneers, I can tell you stories of Oregon pioneers and history. -Misty Dawn Schulz

Feel free to contact us with any questions or to book an adventure with us via email, mail, text, or phone call. We can personalize a trip for you! Be like one of our Schulz Family as we explore the wonders of nature on our next adventure in Cascadia.
